The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students at St. Mary's School have been learning about musical instruments. Terry Kennedy, a local guitar maker, brought some of his tools and some of the wood he uses in guitar building to show the students how it is done. He was able to show them all the steps involved in making a guitar and had pieces in various stages of readiness for a guitar. After his talk, he played one of his guitars and let one of the students play it, too. He also demonstrated playing a harmonica and taught them that harmonicas only play in one key; therefore, a harmonica player needs many harmonicas, each in a different key.
